About the Shrike Society

We love old art.

Woodcuts, etchings, mysterious scribblings on the doors of ancient tombs: if it's old, we're into it. And we've spent countless hours collecting it, seeking it out, hoarding it like precious gold. But then what? Let it sit on our hard drives for all of eternity, unappreciated? Allow it to remain sad and alone in the small and hidden corners of the Internet where old artworks live, usually completely unknown to the public? Heaven forefend.

No, we've spent countless endless nights obsessively poring through obscure online archives so you don't have to. Some designs are too beautiful and complete to touch, so we've brought them to you essentially as they were drawn; others we've added our own twist to, embellished, updated, and probably made more deranged. (Graphic design is our passion.) Then we print it on quality apparel and stickers so you can bring new life to old art by carrying it with you out into the modern world!

Our printing partners

If you're ordering apparel, you'll receive your fancy new garb directly from our printing partner, Neatopod. We tested several different print on demand manufacturers and were blown away by Neatopod's incredible print quality, and we hope you'll be just as impressed.

If you've ordered stickers, they'll come from Stickers & Posters, fine purveyors of... well, stickers and posters. And some other things too. They make great stickers, and we hope you'll love them!

Both of our printing partners are located right here in the United States. While there are larger print providers with larger international operations, we appreciate the level of quality control we enjoy with having a closer relationship with smaller producers.

You'll receive your items shipped directly from our printing partners, to get them to you as quickly as possible.

We print just for you.

The items you order will be printed on demand, meaning that they'll be produced specifically for you when you order. Thanks to this production model we're able to bring you as many designs as we can manage to create, even the completely obscure ones we'll probably only sell once, without having to have a bunch of pre-made stock on hand and without bankrupting ourselves with weird ideas that don't pan out. (We're fans of weird ideas that don't pan out, though. Maybe we'll make a special 'weird ideas that didn't pan out' collection.) It also means we aren't creating the waste that comes from over-producing an item that people don't ultimately buy.

Plus, we like to think that when it's made just for you, it's made with extra love. And extra dark magics.
