Capybara Anatomy Osteology Vintage Illustration Women's V-Neck
Behold, the capybara! Nature's most amiable animal, and the world's largest rodent! And now you can see what it looks like on the inside, and that's not weird at all! This incredible illustrative etching is by artist Edouard d'Alton, and depicts in stunning detail the skeletal anatomy of a capybara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris). It's one of d'Alton's many gorgeous pieces from the 1821 osteological masterpiece Die vergleichende Osteologie. Is that the best collection of scientific illustrations ever published? In our opinion, it's got to be right up there. Sometimes we dream about it at night, and can almost smell its pages.
This is the perfect piece for capybara fans (aren't we all capybara fans?), vulture culturists, bone collectors, osteologists, animal anatomists, zoologists, any of the ologists really, and people who just want to start a conversation by making people ask, "Hey, what's that on your shirt?" It's a capybara, that's what. Then if they've never heard of capybaras you can show them a picture of one sitting in a pool with a duck on its head or something.
This slim, fitted v-neck is made with Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton. What does that even mean? It means it's cozy and fashionable and... cotton-y.
