Do you like birds? Do you like dinosaurs? Do you like birds that are basically still dinosaurs and also perfectly willing to physically destroy you? Then you'll love the cassowary, and we're sure you'll love this glimpse into their skeletal structure! This incredible illustrative etching is by artist Edouard d'Alton, and depicts in stunning detail the skeletal anatomy of a Southern Cassowary (Casuarius casuarius). It's one of d'Alton's many gorgeous pieces from the 1821 osteological masterpiece Die vergleichende Osteologie. Is that the best collection of scientific illustrations ever published? In our opinion, it's got to be right up there. Sometimes we dream about it at night, and can almost smell its pages.

This is the perfect piece for bird nerds, vulture culturists, bone collectors, osteologists, animal anatomists, zoologists, any of the ologists really, and people who just want to start a conversation by making people ask, "Hey, what's that on your shirt?" That's when you hit them with the cassowary facts! We'll get you started with our favorite: they have a 5-inch claw on each foot and like to kick, so if you get too close they could easily just disembowel you! Let's all sit with that knowledge for awhile and consider our life and choices in regards to how close we're willing to get to wildlife. Let it be a lesson to us all.

This tee is made with 100% combed ringspun cotton (except for the heather grey, which containers 10% polyester). What does that mean, exactly? That's t-shirt people speak for "it's comfy." It's pre-laundered by the manufacturer to ensure a great fit without shrinkage, and it has a tear-away label because nobody likes a scratchy collar tag.
