Do you like animals? Do you like incredibly odd animals? Do you like animals whose skulls look like they were designed by a cartoonist? Then look no further than the majestic short-beaked echidna (Tachyglossus aculeatus), which for being "short-beaked" has a surprisingly long snoot. Want to hear some fun facts about echidnas? They lay eggs! Their spines are actually hairs! And they have both a completely bizarre mating ritual and also highly unsettling reproductive organs! And as an added bonus, now you know how ridiculous they look on the inside. Amazing. We love to see it.

This incredible illustrative etching is by artist Edouard d'Alton, and comes from the 1821 osteological masterpiece Die vergleichende Osteologie. Is that the best collection of scientific illustrations ever published? In our opinion, it's got to be right up there. It's so good, sometimes we tear up a little when we think of it.

This heavyweight zip-up hoodie is made with a very fancy low-pill, high-density cotton-poly fleece, for outstanding warmth and comfort. The cuffs and waistband are a stretchy spandex-blend and it's possible that ancient incantations were spoken over them during manufacturing, but we truly can't say for sure. It has split-pouch pockets, which is handy for when you need to stuff two deadly snakes into your pockets but they don't get along, and a covered zipper for keeping out the chill, obviously. The hood is jersey-lined and offers great sun protection, not that any of you are vampires, haha, that would be super silly, but also if you have bat minions they could probably hang inside your hoodie like a little cave.
